KANSAS OUTFITTERS AND LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION

KOLA (Kansas Outfitters and Landowners Association) was rebranded from the orig-
inal KOA (Kansas Outfitters Association). KOA has been an established organization
since the early 1980s, but the need to have a landowner’s association along with out-
fitters was seen in mid-2023. It was established to help protect the rights of landowners
and businesses from unfair regulations and laws or statutes that infringe on their given
rights as Kansas taxpayers’ landowners and business owners.
The association is made up of 43 outfitting businesses and over 5,100 associate landowners in Kansas. The mem-
bers control from one acre to some owning and managing up to 49,000-plus acres. Total acres to date between
businesses and landowners are in excess of 12,000,000 acres.
The association welcomes all landowners. They are just asked to give their commitment to protect the rights of
Kansas taxpayers, to conduct business, and own and operate land as they see fit with-in the laws of the state. KOLA
is also intended to protect and manage the wildlife and habitat of Kansas.

The leadership is made up of business owners and landowners along with outdoor enthusiasts. All areas of the state
are represented by eight volunteer trustees. Meetings are held two times a year and all are welcome to attend.
We are asking outfitters and landowners that want to protect their freedoms to join our organization. We are fight-
ing to keep the freedoms we are given and protect them from state departmental government overreach.
